Last updated: 2 August 2026Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Proudly Northern Irish.co.uk ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Platform.
The Service We Provide
Proudly Northern Irish is an online business directory for Northern Ireland. It enables consumers to discover local businesses, services, and products, and enables business owners to create listings so they can be found by customers.
We make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate and current, but the directory relies on information provided by business owners and may not be comprehensive or error-free at all times.
Listing Your Business
When you submit a business listing, you confirm that:
- You own the business or are authorised to list it
- All information you provide is accurate, current, and not misleading
- The business you list operates lawfully and the listing complies with these terms
Listings are subject to review and approval. We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove any listing that violates these terms, is inaccurate, or is deemed inappropriate or low quality.
You agree to keep your listing up to date and inform us promptly of any significant changes.
Account Responsibility
When you create an account, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use
- Providing accurate registration information
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account on the Platform.
Reviews & User Content
If you submit a review or other user content, you agree that it is:
- Genuinely based on your own experience
- Honest, lawful, and not defamatory, abusive, or misleading
- Free of personal attacks, spam, and promotional material
We reserve the right to remove or edit user content that breaches these rules or our guidelines.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Submit false, fraudulent, or spam listings or reviews
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to scrape, copy, or reproduce directory data without permission
- Interfere with the security, availability, or operation of the Platform
- Impersonate another person or business
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or systems
Intellectual Property
All content on Proudly Northern Irish.co.uk — including the design, text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of Proudly Northern Irish unless otherwise attributed.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent. Where listings contain content owned by third-party business owners, that content remains the property of its respective owners.
Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely accurate
- We are not liable for the actions, products, services, or conduct of any listed business
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law
The directory is a discovery tool — always verify details (opening hours, prices, availability) directly with the business where it matters.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts and remove listings at our discretion, with or without notice, for violation of these terms, fraudulent behaviour, or for any other reason consistent with the safe and fair operation of the Platform.
You may stop using the Platform at any time and delete your account as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our service or the law. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where changes are significant, notify account holders.
Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
